#7075 EPEL 7 aarch64 buildroot has no emacs
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 6 years ago by ellert.

See https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=22120277

Build for aarch64 fails with the following error in root.log:

DEBUG util.py:439: Error: No Package found for emacs
DEBUG util.py:577: Child return code was: 1

The x86_64 build finds emacs and starts properly.

This package has built successfully on EPEL 7 aarch64 before. The emacs package used to be there.

I tried to trigger a newRepo run for EPEL 7 by adding a buildroot override I didn't really need, but the problem persists even after this.

The package version that gets installed in the x86_64 EPEL 7 buildroot is:
emacs-24.3-20.el7_4.x86_64.

And according to the advisory about the update https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:2771, the correstponding aarch64 package should exist:

emacs-24.3-20.el7_4.aarch64.rpm

So this does not make sense to me.

It's been a week and the buildroot is still broken:

Can someone fix this?

I think I have this fixed now.

Can you confirm?

ok, this time I tested it and made sure it was fixed.

But... please confirm.
