#6870 Create Fedora 26 Final candidates
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago Opened 4 years ago by adamwill.

We aren't quite ready to do an RC yet, but as there are rather a lot of FE fixes that have just been pushed stable or are available, it seems like a good idea to do a non-RC candidate compose, mainly to see if any unexpected compose problems or bugs arise. So, can we please have a Final candidate compose, with the following:

== Blockers ==

== Freeze exceptions ==

Thanks!

OK, we're about ready to go for a true Final RC. The only thing missing is a spin-kickstarts build, which nirik is working on now I believe. So when that's ready, please do a compose including everything listed above, the spin-kickstarts build, and all of these:

== Blockers ==

== Freeze exceptions ==

Compose is done and available from https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/26/Fedora-26-20170702.0/compose/ it has been synced to http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/26_RC-1.3/ rpms have all be hardlinked to /pub/fedora/linux/development/26/

I'm afraid RC-1.3 is no good, it is missing at least one crucial package:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1467164

Once that jumps through the blocker hoops, we urgently need an RC-1.4 with the package restored (and no other vital packages missing).

Re-opening for RC-1.4. Please include the following packages, beyond what was in RC-1.1 and RC-1.3:

== Freeze exceptions ==

Please also ensure that:

  • All packages blocked for dependency issues from the RC-1.1 and RC-1.3 composes are unblocked, specifically including custodia - this will resolve the RC-1.3 blocker #1467164
  • The fix for #1467355 is applied to the compose system
  • The fix for #1467383 is applied to the compose system

Before running the compose. Thank you very much!

Re-opening for another compose. This will be a 'provisional' compose; we're still deciding whether the bug is a blocker, I'm requesting the compose to give us more room for choices. If we decide the bug isn't a blocker we can ignore this compose and ship the previous one.

So, please include, in addition to everything from 1.4:

As it was agreed on today's Go/No-Go meeting, please go ahead with releasing RC 1.5.

Not sure why this is still open. Closing now, please reopen if there's anything further to do on f26.
