#6086 please add opendnssec package to repos for F21 Server
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by pspacek.

Hello,

it seems that opendnssec package is missing in F21 Server repos. This unfortunately means that FreeIPA (which is in server repos) cannot support DNSSEC.

Also, I would argue that opendnssec package should be included in Server variant because it is clearly server software.

Thank you for fixing this!

F-21 can't be fixed as it was released, but for F-22 you should talk to the Server WG so they include opendnssec in the Server flavour kickstart and/or comps group/environment.

Ouch, that sucks even more than I expected.

Anyway, could you point me to the right tracker for this, please? Thank you!

So, there are actually two issues here, one in comps.xml and one in pspacek's install scripts.

opendnssec is an optional dependency for FreeIPA, and one that we were unaware of. I have updated comps.xml for Fedora 22 to include it on the DVD for that release. See https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/comps.git/commit/?id=f74562ab4048fc8e0c3b54774b1dc3a02ddf4abc

The other issue is out of my control: pspacek was deploying VMs that had only the install repository included in yum.repos.d and did not include the Everything repo. This is why he was unable to install it there.

There doesn't seem to be any action needed here from releng. Please reopen if there is.
