Hi,
mingw32-libpng-1.2.37-3.el6 got accidentally built for EPEL 6 a while ago. It's the only mingw package in EPEL 6 and isn't particularly useful on its own; it's also horribly outdated (1.2.37 vs latest 1.2.51) and has a number of known security vulnerabilities.
I am not sure what is the correct procedure to EOL a package from EPEL. Could you please either untag the build, or block it from dist-6E-epel?
Removing the package would fix the following broken deps report that the mingw mailing list gets at every EPEL 6 compose:
{{{ mingw32-libpng has broken dependencies in the epel-6 tree: On ppc64: mingw32-libpng-1.2.37-3.el6.noarch requires mingw32-runtime mingw32-libpng-1.2.37-3.el6.noarch requires mingw32-filesystem >= 0:63 mingw32-libpng-1.2.37-3.el6.noarch requires mingw32(zlib1.dll) mingw32-libpng-1.2.37-3.el6.noarch requires mingw32(msvcrt.dll) mingw32-libpng-1.2.37-3.el6.noarch requires mingw32(kernel32.dll) }}}
I have blocked the package, you should retire it in pkgdb
