#5787 Create Fedora 20 Beta test compose (TC) and release candidate (RC)
Closed: Fixed None Opened 5 years ago by adamwill.

It's that time again...Beta time. I've done a test live image and it worked fine, so we have a shot at a working TC1.

Just one update to pull in:

Thanks!

Dennis, the DVD and netinst images don't contain "TC1" in their filename. That used to be the case just for RC composes. If this is not intentional, it's something to look at in future composes. Thanks.

Probably about time to do a TC2 - we have a new anaconda, the DVD might be under-size now, and a few other things. As kparal noted above, please check and see if there's an issue with the filenames.

Please also implement the workaround for [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1015234 #1015234] - the ARM DOA bug.

Probably worth pulling the latest kernel: [https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-18268/kernel-3.11.3-301.fc20 kernel-3.11.3-301.fc20] too. Make sure to use latest comps and spin-kickstarts. Thanks!

additionally I pulled in the updates for approved NTH bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1020545

The Xfce ISO has been named "XFCE", but from the xfce.org website it appears the correct capitalization is "Xfce".

Reopening for TC7. Please pull:

Thank you.

Replying to [comment:13 roshi]:

If we're going to revert shim on the media, please use shim-0.2-4.4.fc19 rather than 0.4-1, otherwise we'll get (unhelpful) bug reports about it printing a warning message it should not print. In the meantime, I've got a fix, but since it's shim it's going to take me a while to get a final build of it.

By my count, this could be RC1, not TC7. All accepted blockers appear to be addressed, if we downgrade shim.

oh whoops, missed the note at the bottom of roshi's request.

Just a note, it's pungi fix + reapply fix in ks.

Just to be clear, that is to say we should have these on the media:

shim-0.2-4.4.fc19.x86_64.rpm shim-unsigned-0.2-3.fc18.x86_64.rpm

Unless we can get 0.6-1 signed in time.

We can only go down to whats been widely pushed out stable so we would be using the versions listed bellow.

Re-opening for RC4. There is no change to the package loadout, but we need to re-build all the live images due to a snafu in RC3 live image generation; seems clearer to do a full RC4. Non-live images in RC4 should be identical to RC3.

dgilmore, please build the lives right this time ;D

Huh. i'm sure I just re-opened this for RC5, but it disappeared into the ether. Trying again! Please build RC5, only change:

A fix for FE bug [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1004621 #1004621] is in the works, but looks too uncertain to include at this point.
