#4833 Create Installable Images for QA testing #3
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by wutao85.

Greetings!

This ticket is intended to track creation of custom pxeboot and boot.iso images for use with QA execution of the rawhide acceptance test plan.

For this milestone, only i386 and x86_64 boot.iso's are needed. An entire installable tree is not required for this pre-Alpha acceptance milestone.

Given the problems we've had in the previous two Alpha releases (F14-F15). It might also be advisable to spin up GNOME and KDE live images (if the nightly images are not available).

Since some bugs has been found on anaconda 16.12, please include a newer version of anaconda in this new images.

Thanks Dennis! Just a reminder to testers, 2 proposed Alpha blockers have not yet been resolved in this latest snapshot. You will need to workaround the bugs as noted below ...

[http://bugzilla.redhat.com/723901 723901 - pre-release anaconda compose is disabling 'rawhide' repo ... leaves no repos available for install]

Update, due to a lorax miscommunication, the 'rawhide' repository is disabled in the above images and no packages are available for install. There is no straightforward workaround for this issue.

A fix is available in [http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=lorax.git;a=commitdiff;h=df849d341927061b633dffc6101f2f4cb0342681 lorax.git]. And if time permits, I'd like to request a re-compose that includes this lorax fix.

Unfortunately, due to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=722987 , the minimum size of the large disos is roughly that of the corresponding netinst image. The RPM content compresses really well (most RPMs probably didn't change anyway).

the last compose still had the no repo issue. i need to work on the proper fix for pungi
