#4820 task#7 - Create Installable Images for QA testing #2
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by jlaska.

Greetings!

This ticket is intended to track creation of custom pxeboot and boot.iso images for use with QA execution of the [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Rawhide_Acceptance_Test_Plan rawhide acceptance test plan].

For this milestone, only i386 and x86_64 boot.iso's are needed. An entire installable tree is not required for this pre-Alpha acceptance milestone.

Given the problems we've had in the previous two Alpha releases (F14-F15). It might also be advisable to spin up GNOME and KDE live images (if the nightly images are not available).

The test version of F16 has been available on [1], Hurry and I have tested both i386 and x86_64 version, but unfortunately they both failed, please refer to the bug 723144, we are expecting for the next version.

Note, it seems you can work around that failure by unselecting "Use LVM" during the partitioning screen. There are still several issues after that, but that might help you explore more test scenarios and find more bugs. I updated the RATs wiki with a few more test results. Good luck!

Thanks, it worked without selecting "Use LVM" during the partitioning screen. The rest tests of this version has been completed, and I have create a new ticket (Ticket #4833) for the next version of images.

this has long been done
