#4615 samba absolutely needs to downgrade from 3.6.0pre1 to 3.5.8
Closed: Fixed None Opened 13 years ago by gd.

Please make sure the downgrade update is part of the f15 beta, we needed to go back to 3.5.8 because 3.6.0 was not finished in time and the 3.6.0pre1 which we have checked in, turns out not to be really usable.

So, what are you asking rel-eng to do here?

in the meantime, I'd suggest simply issuing a update with Epoch++ to handle the reversion.

If you want this to be considered an f15 beta blocker, a bug needs to be filed blocking https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=F15Beta for QA to consider

Ok, I did that. Just want to make sure samba version 3.5.8 really, really, really is in f15 and not 3.6.0pre1.

@gd: Make sure you have read and understand this page and its references. The page documents the blocker process for Fedora: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:SOP_blocker_bug_process

@gd: Sorry, I should have also pointed out... that page indicates you need to show which of the Beta release criteria are impacted by this bug. Clearly it would be ''at least'' nice to have this for F15Beta, and it's definitely a must for the GA. Whether it will block the Beta at this late date is in question though. QA would need to weigh in on it.

this went though the correct procedures with qa
