#4580 dist-f15-rails for Rails 3.0.5
Closed: Invalid None Opened 13 years ago by vondruch.

May I request a dist-f15-rails buildroot for updating Rails to the latest 3.0.5 release for F15 Beta.

Rebuilds will probably take less than a week to complete.

I need to get some more info on this,

Feature freeze is way past, beta has slipped already, why does this need to be updated? we are trying to stabilise things for beta this is really too late already.

This update should fix two CVEs currently reported against Rails. Since Rails are well tested upstream, it is just minor update with no API changes and there are no other dependencies on Rails yet, it would be beneficial for Fedora users to get this update before final Fedora release.

I'm confused - if it's a minor update with no API changes and there are no other dependencies, why do you need a separate buildroot?

It is 8 packages which should be build and released together.

And of that 8, how many require buildroot tagging? (if < 5, I'd say making a separate koji target is probably overkill, we can handle it via the usual -override's)

im going to say this doesnt need its own buildroot. please start buildinga nd file buildroot override requests for those builds you need to build against.
