The desktop-effects package, which was used to switch the GNOME window manager no longer makes sense in GNOME 3, where the window manager is integrated with application launching and other desktop functions. When auto-detection of hardware capabilities fails, compositing can be forced off using the GNOME System Settings application.

Please block the desktop-effects package from f15 and rawhide.
