I think the NTH process pretty much supersedes tag requests, but releng team can inform us if they're still useful.

I think the NTH process pretty much supersedes tag requests,

It this process documented anywhere? I could not find anything useful in the wiki.

but releng team can inform us if they're still useful.

I could not push the update to stable with bodhi, I could not even request a direct push to stable. Therefor I think we still need the tag request.

It's new.

The NTH process tracks it through the blocker bug. Still, Jesse says you should still be able to submit the update to stable, so if you can't, there's a bug somewhere. Jesse?

NTH is a red herring here. NTH just concerns itself with which stable requests we'll accept through bodhi into the release after we freeze.

As for bodhi, the reason you couldn't request stable was that the update criteria had not been met yet, that is enough karma, or a timeout. Now that the criteria has been met, the package will go to stable.

Uh...but how does that make it a 'red herring'? That's exactly what tag requests are/were for too, no? They provided a system for people to request stable requests be pushed through the freeze; now we have the list of NTH bugs to track changes we will accept through the freeze, what purpose would tag requests serve?

Sorry, I meant NTH was a red herring in regard to why bodhi may or may not have allowed a push to stable request. The Bodhi doesn't use anything related to NTH for whether or not it'll expose a "push to stable" option.
