#3630 New tag for building cluttermm-0.9.5 for Fedora 13
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by rishi.

The latest cluttermm release changed the soname because they updated from Clutter 0.9.x to Clutter 1.0. At the moment, only clutter-gtkmm depends on cluttermm.

provide full nvr please.

I'm assuming you want something tagged for the buildroot here? (it's unclear to me based on your comments).

I don't see any cluttermm-0.9.5 built yet?

latest I see is cluttermm-0.9.4-3.20090907git.fc12

ping. what exactly did you want tagged here?

Since the new cluttermm has a different soname, I can not build any other package against it (in this case clutter-gtkmm) until it hits the buildroot. However if I just go ahead and build it for F-13, then it will break the dependencies until clutter-gtkmm is rebuilt against it.

How do I resolve this situation?

(I understand that chain builds won't work for F-13.)

You'll need first to build a newer cluttermm, then we can manually tag it into the buildroot, so that you can build anything else needing to be built (like clutter-gtkmm. This manual tagging for the buildroot is why chain-builds cannot be used (the buildroot doesn't populate itself anymore, now that we're into this phase of f13 development).

At that point, you can issue a grouped update in bodhi.

So... when you have a cluttermm-0.9.5 ready for tagging, just say so, and we can get the process moving.

I have built cluttermm-0.9.5-1.fc13. Could you please tag it into the buildroot so that I can build clutter-gtkmm against it?

Tagged, let me know when the build is done.

clutter-gtkmm-0.9.5-1 has now been built.
