#3430 F13 - Please update build root [2.29.91]
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by mcrha.

Please update build root for Fedora 13 with just built gtkhtml3 and evolution-data-server so I will be able to build evolution (and then, after update of the build root with evolution itself, also evolution-exchange and evolution-mapi). Thanks.

gtkhtml3-3.29.91-1.fc13 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2006048
evolution-data-server-2.29.91-1.fc13 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2006051

gtkhtml3-3.29.91-1.fc13 and evolution-data-server-2.29.91-1.fc13 are tagged - the link to koji is not necessary.
FYI: Please consider to open a new ticket if you need the other overrides, then it is more likely that someone will respond soon.

Thanks for the update. Build of evolution-2.29.91-1.fc13 is now complete. Please tag is as well. Thanks in advance. (It doesn't worth it to fill a new ticket, from my point of view.)

done. Can the others be removed?
A new ticket does not cost anything, but would help you to get this handled sooner. Requests in existing tickets only go to the one who is assigned to it. If you create a new ticket, several people will notice the request. And because I am located in UTC+1, further requests in this ticket will be delayed for some hours soon.

Thanks. I have built evolution-exchange and evolution-mapi successfully. We are done here, from my point of view.[[BR]]

What do you mean with removal? If you remove "it" (new tags?), then anyone willing to rebuild either of related packages will fail, isn't it?[[BR]]

UTC+1 is fine for me.

Are there other dependant packages that need to be rebuild?
The current workflow is like this:
1. request tagging in dist-f13-override
1. rebuild all dependant packages
1. request untagging in dist-f13-override

If you need to rebuild again something against packages that are only in updates-testing(-candidate), then you need to request another override. Once the packages are marked as stable in bodhi, they will also be available in the buildroots.

So if there are not scheduled rebuilds that need the tagged packages, I need to remove them from the -override tag.

All those I build personally are built now. I do not know about any other, maybe they do not require the latest package version. So if I got your comment right, you can remove it from the 'override' tag and close this. Thanks.

These packages are now untagged:
evolution gtkhtml3 evolution-data-server

Btw. it would be better if you could coordinate updates with the maintainers of other dependant packages to know whether or not buildroot overrides are required for their packages.

Btw. you can also request to have a temporary tag to compose a bigger set of updates of dependent packages, so you can easily test whether all packages build and then move them to updates all at once. I am not sure, whether there is some documentation about this available, but you can just create a new ticket here and someone else who knows how to do this will probably help you.
