#3096 Tag request xorg-x11-server-1.7.1-6.fc12 for dist-f12
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by ajax.

{{{
1.7.1-2 introduced a multilib fix for the -devel subpackage that removed the _XSERVER64 define and redid the internal usage of it in terms of SIZEOF_LONG. However, the drivers also pull in shared headers that require _XSERVER64 to be defined correctly, and the size of those types is relevant to driver/server ABI. 1.7.1-6 defines _XSERVER64 in a multilib-safe way, so future driver update builds will have a consistent ABI. Tested by inspecting the config header output on i386 and amd64.

'make tag-request' is kind of lame. Better formatted:

It's worth noting as well that the broken xorg-x11-server-devel package never made it into any buildroots in koji, so no driver rebuilds are needed.

Transferring my +1 from the 1.7.1-5 request, as I've read the patch change.

as I said to notting i'm not expert enough to fully understand this change, but I'm happy with you being happy. as far as I understand this I see no reason to object.
