I'd like to propose pushing paps-0.6.8-11.fc12 to fix Bug #524883. which breaks the printing with the certain CPI. this release would fixes to get the CPI parameter working as expected.
The impact not tagged for f12-final is, the result of the text printing is still unreliable so that the CPI/LPI parameters are only way to control the amount of characters in the rows and the columns.
