Hi,

I've built and tested the 2.9.0 release of the intel X driver and I'd like to propose that we pull it into F-12. We currently have a pre-release git snapshot from Sep 9 in F-12, but now that the release is out we should update the RPM. The build is

xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.9.0-2.fc12

Compared to the snapshot we currently ship, the release is twenty commits more (git log --since=09/09/2009), most of which are bug fixes and a couple of code cleanups. I've tested across the intel hw I have access to, and see no regressions. Going to a stable released tarball over shipping a git snapshot is enough of a benefit that the risk of adding 20 bugfixes this late in the cycle is worth it.
