#1946 Buildroot override request: php 5.2.10
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by remi.

Can you please tag php-5.2.10-1.fc10 and php-5.2.10-1.fc11 (in updates-candidates) as a buildroot exception (F10 and F11)
- to be able to build package requiring php-embedded (maniadrive) and push them all to testing in the same push.
- to be able to build php-pecl-memcached which requires php >= 5.2.10

Thanks

Tagged. Please let us know when your builds are finished so we can remove the override.

Thanks.

Build done, but I think we need to keep this version on buildroot override for next extension build, like we have done for previous updates (5.2.8, 5.2.9, ...)

Are you done yet, this has been in the buildroot for some time.

Sorry for the long delay (called holidays ;) )

Are you done yet,
Yes

I still don't understand the need to remove the override. Especially if we push php 5.2.10 to stable. Well in fact we are probably going to wait for 5.2.11

Right now, anything that requires php is building against 5.2.10 because of the override. If one of those packages gets pushed to stable before php does, you have broken deps. Other packagers might not even be aware that php in the build roots is newer.

If you push 5.2.10 to stable, it will be in the build root permanently.

This is dragging on dangerously long. What's the deal here?

Sorry, response in my preivous comment wasn't clear enough.

Yes, I've done.
You can unpush.

OK, untagged from override.
