There's two packages related to the nouveau driver with recent changes that are important for the release, the builds are:
libdrm-2.4.6-6.fc11 - two bugfixes, one critical and will result in random hangs on some systems
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.12-29.20090417gitfa2f111.fc11 - fixes the bug which triggers the critical bug in libdrm - framebuffer resize support (rh#495838, rh#487356, and lots of duplicates) - technically an enhancement, however it appears that a lot of users find this to be an important feature to have. - all codepaths impacted by the change have been tested by me across a number of different GPUs, and appears to be safe. - speed up transition to gdm when kernel modesetting enabled - was done by the CPU previously, which could take a couple of seconds previously, and users would see their screen being visibly redrawn on some mode switches. This change is non-invasive, only enabled when experimental kernel modesetting is enabled, and provides a much nicer experience.
Please accept? :)
Ben.
+1
I did a sanity check to be sure this new libdrm doesn't break my intel and radeon boxes.
