Describe the issue perl-NetAddr-IP is a stalled EPEL package. Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - I have contacted the maintainer, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2309585 I am requesting xavierb be given commit permissions so that I might branch and build this package in epel10. As @ixs is the only maintainer having access to this package, I'd be glad to also be added to the other Fedora and EPEL branches so I can help there too.
When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD) Asap, this is blocking several other packages up the dependencies chain.
When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD) When EPEL 10 is EOL, that is in 10 years
If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact? Several perl modules cannot be added to EPEL 10.
Packages blocked by perl-NetAddr-IP: - perl-Data-Validate-IP (@swt2c) - perl-MaxMind-DB-Reader (@ppisar) - perl-GeoIP2 (@ppisar)
