#12211 Most wiggle updates missing from Bodhi
Closed: It's all good 6 months ago by kevin. Opened 6 months ago by salimma.

  • Describe the issue
When following up on an EPEL9 request for wiggle (maintainer built it but did not push the update, so I went to Bodhi to create one) I noticed that... most Wiggle updates are missing?

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2294902

https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/?packages=wiggle

Looks like it has been bumped and rebuilt in mass rebuilds for a long time, but those should show up in Bodhi as well. Except there's nothing before the FC41 update @sergiomb did manually, except for when @linville last touched the spec to update it to the previous 1.2 version 4 years ago

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    2024/07/26

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
This is potentially serious and might affect more packages. We should not be losing release history of our packages.

Mass rebuilds do not show up in bodhi. ;)

Everything is build in a rebuild tag and mass tagged in. There's no way bodhi could handle 20,000 builds in an update. Then it would hit ci like a... yeah.

Also long ago rawhide/branched didn't use to use bodhi either.

So, I think this is expected.

ok you add wiggle to bodhi and LGTM
I asked Linville to build wiggle in this PR https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/wiggle/pull-request/1, I didn't build it in other branches because I wasn't sure it wouldn't break and also because I don't use this tool very often and did not many tests.

So, I don't think there's any issue here... if there's something I missed and needs doing, please reopen.
