That's very nice. I reviewed bunches of emails and peeked this software critical to bioinformatic users. Glad that it has already been rescued.

I will rescue this package as soon as possible after rescuing the rpms/simde below that is also a dependency for some bio tools including "rpms/bowtie2".

I merged the rebasing commit to the rawhide.
When I ran the fedpkg build on the rawhide, I saw the following error. It is the same with the rpm/simde's issue. Could you please fix it? And please also check if my f38, f37, f36's push are allowed properly? I assume the same situation with the the rpms/simde may happen .

Now I am ssing an error on the f38 branch when I pushed some commits to f38 branch.
