Closed: Fixed a year ago by kevin. Opened a year ago by adamwill.

  • Describe the issue

The bind-9.18.11-1.fc38 and bind-dyndb-ldap-11.10-11.fc38 update looks like it crashes on startup, breaking FreeIPA: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-f1accd4b37#comment-2880348 . Please untag it from Rawhide.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

ASAP, before the next Rawhide compose.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

After the next Rawhide compose.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Anything that uses named (including FreeIPA) will be broken in Rawhide, several openQA tests will fail on all updates.

This turned out to be due to the bind9-next problem, not actually an issue with this update. I did a newer bind-dyndb-ldap build to avoid the bind9-next issue. Can you retag bind-9.18.11-1.fc38 , but don't retag bind-dyndb-ldap-11.10-11.fc38? thanks!
