#11008 EPEL 7 buildroot broken
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by kevin. Opened 2 years ago by ellert.

  • Describe the issue

Several packages I maintain in EPEL 7 are now being reported as not buildable by koschei due to uninstallable build requires. They all stumble on:

package initscripts-9.49.53-1.el7_9.1.x86_64 conflicts with redhat-release < 7.5-0.11 provided by redhat-release-server-1:7.4-1.x86_64

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

As soon as possible

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

When EPEL 7 is EOL

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Packages not buildable for EPEL7 in koji. I tried to do a scratch build of one of the affected packages, and it fails with (root.log):

DEBUG util.py:445: Error: initscripts conflicts with 1:redhat-release-server-7.4-1.x86_64
DEBUG util.py:445: You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
DEBUG util.py:445: You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Please check again now? I was trying to fix a buildroot issue yesterday and apparently did so incorrectly. It seems working to me now.
