Describe the issue gtksourceview4 is a stalled EPEL package. Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - I have contacted the maintainer, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2104694 I am a member of the epel-packagers-sig and I am requesting epel-packagers-sig be given commit permissions so that I, or a member of the SIG, might branch and build this package in epel8. Please also add raveit65, because he expressed his interest at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2012355#c5 (which was the bug report before splitting this properly into https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2104694) as well.
When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD) ASAP :)
When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD) n/a
If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact? n/a
Metadata Update from @zlopez: - Issue tagged with: low-gain, low-trouble, ops
Why is this tagged with low trouble? From my point of view we can't build the default editor (pluma) of MATE desktop, which is a fedora spin. Honestly, this is heavy trouble when we can't build a package from a supported spin by fedora. Please speed up a simple decision.
Because it is low trouble for the person who will work on it. Those tags are not for the user.
The problem is that most of the staff are on vacations and this will have to wait.
Ok, we have to wait for someone is back from holiday.
Well, we don't know if something is high priority or not unless you tell us... 'ASAP :)' doesn't really convey that.
This is done.

Thanks Kevin, after maintaining more than 7 years a fedora spin i am feeling more than a part of fedora as a user. Sorry for my impatience......
