#10588 Stalled EPEL package: python-websockets
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by humaton. Opened 2 years ago by carlwgeorge.

  • Describe the issue
python-websockets is a stalled EPEL package.

Per the EPEL stalled package policy - https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-policy/#stalled_epel_requests - I have contacted the maintainer, twice, and waited the appropriate amount of time.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2034483

I am requesting carlwgeorge commit permissions so that I might branch and build this package in EPEL9.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    2022-02-08

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    EPEL9 EOL

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
Blocks the addition of python-websocket-client (a different package) to EPEL9.

Additionally the lack of this package blocks python-kubernetes and python-openshift

You are now a collaborator on the epel branches for the package
