#10563 Rename "Cantera" to "cantera"
Closed: It's all good 2 years ago by fuller. Opened 2 years ago by fuller.

The newly-approved/created Cantera package has a case-conflict.
The original bugzilla ticket and new repository (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/Cantera) use a leading upper-case letter, whereas the package should be all lower-case.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    ASAP

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    Never

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
    It will be very annoying

It might be easiest to retire the one and re-request the new one... renaming things is hard to make sure you get everywhere it could be misnamed: databases, other applications, etc

I would be happy with either solution.
The repo was only created yesterday and no packages have been built yet.

Thanks

EDIT: Assuming I would need to independently retire Cantera and request cantera, can instructions be provided?
I attempted originally to request cantera from thd CLI with the BZ number, but it was rejected on the basis of case; the request for Cantera proceeded without error

@kevin I have retired "Cantera" per the documentation, but require assistance as I am unable to request "cantera" with fedpkg:

fedpkg request-repo cantera 2037645
Could not execute request_repo: The package in the Bugzilla bug "Cantera" doesn't match the one provided "cantera"

Thank you

EDIT: I changed the title on BZ and the request with fedpkg went through:
ttps://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/41188

Closing - sorry for all the bother
