#10073 Fedora-34-Beta .composeinfo file
Opened 3 years ago by mboswell. Modified 2 years ago

  • Describe the issue
In the .composeinfo file for F-34-Beta the 'name' field has 'fedora-34'. Could we reflect the beta release by using the 'name = Fedora-34-Beta' and use this format for future Beta releases?

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    next 6 months

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
manual efforts to correct name in beaker. As is when f-34 is GA it will not get imported automatically as there is already a 'fedora-34' name in the database.

@adamwill Just wondering, if we change it, is it going to affect anything on the QA side?

@mohanboddu I see this request was already made here https://pagure.io/releng/issue/9841 format like 'name = Fedora-34-Beta'

Any update? Fed 34 is GA in 7 days I believe.

@mohanboddu Will we be able to implement this before the next Beta?

@adamwill could you please clarify if this change will affect QA?

Oh, sorry - I thought I'd replied to this already. I can't think of or see anything off the top of my head. This does feel like the kind of thing that will almost certainly turn out to break something somewhere, but I can't see what it is right now. :D
