#10062 f34: newer containers-common builds don't show up in yum repos (rhbz#1938933)
Closed: Get back later 3 years ago by lsm5. Opened 3 years ago by lsm5.

  • Describe the issue

Can't find containers-common builds in yum repos even though bodhi errata has been in stable for 2 months now. See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1938933 .

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

Don't have an exact date in mind but it affects installation/upgrades of newer skopeo (and possibly podman and buildah) on f34. So, I guess this would certainly be needed before f34 release, preferably before f34 beta (not sure if we're past this date).

The containers-common package thats there currently is the subpackage from the skopeo src package.

So, I think you need to drop it there and the seperate one should get used.

The previous build https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1720615 didn't have containers-common in there already and it correctly specified the package depdendency for the standalone containers-common package as well, but I still noticed that issue.

Anyway, I pushed a new bumped release tag for both skopeo and containers-common at https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-864447db79 as per @kalev' suggestion. I will close this ticket for now and reopen it if the issue still persists.

Thanks a lot @kevin and @kalev .

That previous skopeo build never went to stable.
