When you create a repo with, lets say main branch as the default branch and you work on your local clone of the repo on dev branch, when you try to open a PR on the main repo, its selecting master branch as the default option in the PR and since master branch doesn't exist its throwing 400 error

This is related to #5052, once this is fixed, the PR process will automatically recognize the default branch and will work just fine.
