Surprisingly it works in the diff, raw and blame views.

I'm confused, what is the issue? Is it the {1} laying around?

It's basically that the file view is broken compared to every other view for syntax highlighting and getting an accurate representation of the file contents.

So the {1} issue is fixed in the upcoming 5.2.

For the second point, I'm not sure there is a ticket tracking this

I believe things a little bit better now.
The issue about quotes is being tracked in another ticket, so I'd be inclined to close this ticket.
