It seems there is no way to link to anything but the default template right now

Is this about having a select box so that when you create a new issue you can choose between different template issues. Different template issues like:
No there is already such box, it's about being able to link to the new issue page w/ a specific template rather than the default one.
I was thinking on taking this one, I've an idea how to do it.
