Hello, when Microsoft announced to buy Github,I wanted to move my project here and created an account. I've been banned immediately after my registration with the message "account set to spamcheck_manual" and without to possibility to sign in a first time. I found another site for hosting my own project in the meantime what is why I haven't reported that for a long time. Now I want to participate at a project which will soon move here and it would be nice if you could unblock me. I registered with the username nipos and the email ni.pos@yandex.com
This is not a pagure issue but a FAS/basset one. Basically, we implemented basset a couple of years ago when we got that large waive of spam all over the project. It uses machine learning to calculate if the user is a spammer or not but it doesn't have much information, so it uses mainly the username, fullname and email address. If the user has a sort of email address that looks like one that has been used by a lot of spammer, chances is that they will get flagged.
I have unblocked nipos' account in FAS.

It is off-putting if you are a new user, you want to migrate your project to Pagure and you get immediately banned after you log in and you are not even able to describe an issue here. I wonder if there are more users that encountered this. Maybe we could put some text somewhere in login screen or registration screen that this may happen?
Thank you for the fast reaction,it works now. I agree that it's very discouraging for new users if they're blocked immediately and that should be improved. Normally I'm not one of these people who give up directly at the first bug but here I did it because I expected that to happen again for people who want to contribute to my project and they can't do it then. Sure,spamcheck is important,but I think that can also be done with less false positives.
