The markup for making a line-wrapping ( i.e., non CODE fragment containing hard CRs ) blockquote is not documented
Some variants use: ^: etc
Others permit the HTML 'blockquote' tag pair ... which does not work here as it 'eats' other markup
Well, the goal of this page isn't to be exhaustive, the full documentation can be found in the first link in that page.
But that page indicates which extensions are available and when and then some of the customed markdown added.
I'm going to leave this open though if someone thinks differently (or if you want to make the change :))
