as $SUBJECT says: a >blockquote< ... I intentionally mangle the entities order to avoid the mark-up word being expressed, pair does not properly display in Preview node, at site:

Indeed, using ':' and such do not display correctly on that site either

BUT it does Preview correctly here, so something is not working as expected

That said, THIS site, with ':' for an indent as in the next paragraph still fails to work in a Pagure based site--- and why is this paragraph BOLD in Preview? And why is the intervening doubled CR not working in Preview

This really confounded me yesterday, trying to get an Election 'presence' 'looking right'

But typing a leading ':' on a newline, or after a single-quote pops up a seeming selection of emoji <?>

I'm having troubles understanding your report it, it's quite confusing, could you rephrase or give me steps to reproduce the issue you're seeing?
