#2753 RFE: Receive e-mails when mentioned on a project I am not watching but am a contributor to
Closed: Duplicate 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by bowlofeggs.

I noticed recently that I do not get e-mails from the infrastructure Pagure project about tickets I file or if I am mentioned, but I do get e-mails from the releng project about tickets I file or if I am mentioned. Both projects show "Unwatch" as selected when I look at the watch icon in the upper right of the web UI.

The difference seems to be that I am a contributor on the fedora-infra project and am not a contributor on the releng project.

I do not want to receive all emails from the infra project, but I do want to see e-mails on my tickets or when I am mentioned. There does not seem to be a way to express this in the settings that I can find, hence the RFE.

Can you check that the emails about the rel-eng projects are coming from a pagure and not through the releng list?

I don't think on on the releng list, but this does look like they are coming from pagure and not from mailman:

Ok I know what this is, I think this overlaps with: https://pagure.io/pagure/issue/2324 and likely https://pagure.io/pagure/issue/2230

Basically: if you're not part of a project, you're not watching it (thus the status you're seeing with rel-eng) and then it'll notify you about ticket you created or when you're mentioned somewhere.

If you're part of a project, you're watching it by default but if you unwatch that project, it will stop sending you all and any notification.
Thus the watch status you're seeing on the infra repo and why you're not receiving the notifs you're expecting.

Since this should be covered in the two tickets above, I'm going to close this ticket as duplicate.
But we should prioritize fixing this I think.

Thanks for your report and sorry for the inconvenience
