#2224 [RFE] Manually rearrange order of milestones
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 7 years ago by jflory7.

Summary

To order milestones sequentially in a way that makes sense for a specific project, milestones should be able to be rearranged in any order (to prevent something like this).

Description

It would be helpful to rearrange the milestones in a drag-n-drop method from the repo settings. This way, like in the above example, I could manually sort the order of the milestones in a sequential order (e.g. ASAP, Fedora 25, Fedora 26, future releases, etc.).

Implementation

  1. Open repo settings, scroll to Milestones section
  2. Grab milestone in third position (click and hold)
  3. Drag upward to move to first position
  4. Update
  5. When opening Milestones dropdown in an issue's metadata, the issue you moved to the first position is at the top of the dropdown

it is now possible to order milestones with the arrow-up and down buttons.

One possibility to make this easier is to use some sort of drag and drop as suggested in
https://pagure.io/pagure/issue/2847

going to close this one as fixed, and track the drag and drop RFE in that ticket.
