When using Pagure over time, you may find that the original name you used for naming your group is no longer desired. The publicly visible display name of a group should be able to be changed so a group creator or administrator can change the display name of the group.
The example I had in mind specifically for this is "CommOps" to "fedora-commops", so it would fit in with other Fedora-related groups in Pagure.
For this we will need to give the concept of display_name to the groups
display_name
@pingou Maybe also worth considering if it would be a good idea to maybe make the current form of names / URL slug something configurable too.

I am not sure I follow you here
@pingou Hmmm, I mean to say, if there would become two names, display_name and group_name, where the first is just what shows up on the page and the second is in the URL, e.g. pagure.io/group/SuperAmazingDevelopers, you could change both separately.
group_name
pagure.io/group/SuperAmazingDevelopers
For instance, looking at the CommOps group:
Ok so this is the same idea than what I had with the exception that I do not want the group_name to be changeable. This could potentially lead to issues if people rename their group then someone comes and use one of the old name. I prefer the group name to be unique and fix and the display name to be unique and changeable.
Not sure if i want to open a new issue, but should we also provide the ability for people to add a description for the group as well? So the group can specify a sentence or two for what the group is and does.
Both features are present in #1208
