PRs and Issues have a common counter in pagure

Just curious, why can't we leave this field blank (or None) and let pagure assign the id field ?

Because when people move projects over, they want to retain the issue IDs, so that references like "Ticket #x" remain valid and redirects can be setup easily.
Note that if you manually set the IDs, that will not cause any problems if there is a PR with the same nr: Pagure will just keep both happily together with the same ID.
