#717 Fedora refers to /usr/share/appdata, but the current specification says /usr/share/metainfo

Guideline page needing clarification:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:AppData

Explanation

The packaging instructions tells us to place metadata in /usr/share/appdata. However, the upstreams specification at https://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/chap-Metadata.html#sect-Metadata-GenericComponent says this is a legacy directory, and /usr/share/metainfo is the recommended path. Am I right in guessing the Fedora packaging instructions are to be updated, or is there some reason for Fedora to stay with the older location?

This is #704 which we addressed at today's meeting.
