The Directory Server (389-ds-base) has been creating the user "dirsrv" in the rpm installation since FC24/rhel-7.3. The uid and gid values are important because of the nature of the Directory Server. For instance, the Directory Server may run back-up to the NFS mounted filesystem and the back-up may be shared among the other replica servers. That type of scenario is quite common in the ops work. Thus, having a fixed uid, gid pair is crucial for us.
We found this Soft static allocation page, which solves our potential problem. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:UsersAndGroups#Allocation_Strategies
Could you please allocate (uid, gid) = (389, 389) for the Directory Server?
We discussed this at this weeks meeting (http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting-1/2017-02-09/fpc.2017-02-09-17.01.txt):
