Thanks to Toshio Kuratomi for the review.
== Changes ==
Replaced the term 'eggs' with 'egg metadata' in the whole wiki, while not messing up the URLs to this[1] on both occurances.
In section '1.1 Why egg metadata', changed the phrase "Allowing end users to install eggs not made from rpms or install eggs into their home directories." to "Allowing end users to install egg packages not made from rpms or install egg packages into their home directories."
In section '1.2 When to Provide egg metadata' changed the phrase "we need to be sure to include the egg files" to "we need to be sure to include the egg metadata"
Changed the section 1.3 tittle from "Upstream egg metadata" to "Upstream egg package"
In section 1.3, change the phrase: "Do not distribute egg metadata from upstream" to "Do not distribute egg packages from upstream."
This is all kind of trivial. Anyone object if I just make these changes?
+1 for doing these changes. Just the "egg" in the last paragraph should be "Egg".
We discussed this at this weeks meeting (http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting-1/2015-01-08/fpc.2015-01-08-17.01.txt), summary is:
I think I've written this up correctly. Unfortunately the draft page wasn't started by saving a copy of the original guideline page, so I can't actually get a complete diff, but I think I've managed to change everything. (This prompted me to write a note on the Packaging:Committee page about how to do this.) I also removed some text about Fedora 8.
If I missed anything, please let me know and I'll fix it up. Also, there is some additional old cruft in that guideline which I'm not sure needs to be there. (The note beginning with "In the past" and the entire section which only applies to EPEL5. The latter can probably just be moved to an EPEL guideline page.) If anyone in the know could comment, I'd appreciate it. No sense in having useless stuff polluting the already complicated guidelines.
Announcement text: The Python Egg packaging guidelines have been cleaned up to properly refer to egg packages and egg metadata. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Python_Eggs
Thanks Tibbs. I realized late that I didn't save a copy of the original guideline in my draft page, sorry for creating extra work.
