#466 recommend Privatedevices and PrivateNetwork in systemd guidelines
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by sundaram.

This change

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/PrivateDevicesAndPrivateNetwork

should be reflected in the guidelines as well

Also, please drop the note on systemd-units since Fedora 18 is EOL and there is no systemd-units package in any active Fedora release.

This was discussed in this weeks meeting (http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting-1/2014-10-30/fpc.2014-10-30-16.01.txt), and we need a policy for an accepted feature:

  • 466 recommend Privatedevices and PrivateNetwork in systemd

    guidelines (geppetto, 16:09:27)
  • LINK: https://fedorahosted.org/fpc/ticket/466 (geppetto, 16:09:28)
  • We need a draft to vote on something. (geppetto, 16:13:38)
  • Policy should only be changed after features have been accepted, and
this change is currently targeted for F22. (geppetto, 16:14:06)

Fair enough. I will post a draft when I have sometime.

The packaging committee is still awaiting additional information before it can properly address your request. Please provide that within the next month or this ticket will be closed. (Of course, you can always reopen it if the situation changes) Thanks!

Hmm. Didn't I just write up a ticket about PrivateDevices and PrivateNetwork? https://fedorahosted.org/fpc/ticket/438

How does this ticket differ from that?

Looks like the major points have been documented as of now. Closing. Thanks!
