I'd like to reserve an unused uid/gid for activemq.
The activemq service is used by OpenShift for communication between the OpenShift broker and OpenShift nodes. One of the methods of scaling the service is to use shared storage for the data directory between activemq brokers (http://activemq.apache.org/replicated-message-store.html), so we would like a static allocation to more readily support this scaling use case.
This was approved at last week's meeting:
Thanks for the ticket that clearly showed why a soft static uid would be useful for this package.
I'm CC'ing ovasik to allocate you a UID (and GID if you need that as well).
Please follow the soft static guidelines to implement this in your package so that sysadmins can override the UID/GID if they need to:
Thanks for adding me to cc, [[BR]]
jdetiber, can you please provide following information?:[[BR]]
1) package responsible for creating the user/group[[BR]]
2) do you want just user or both user and group?[[BR]]
3) homedir for user[[BR]]
4) shell - if different from /sbin/nologin
You can provide it either here, or ideally via the Fedora Rawhide bugzilla against setup so I can better reference it.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks ovasik! Closing ticket as the uid and gid have been added.
