I'm in the process of packaging Chicken Scheme for Fedora (http://call-cc.org/) and would like to request a one time exception to bootstrap from the generated C sources that their release tarball ships, to then build the Scheme sources from scratch.
I've talked with Toshio about this and he suggested that this was better than just building the C sources directly. I have a spec file ready to go to bugzilla for review, pending this request.
+1 from me. Temporary bundling for bootstrapping is pretty standard. In addition, building the bootstrap interpreter from generated C is better than having to build using a pre-built binary.
This seems pretty obvious to me. +1
+1 from me.
That's +5. Consider the request granted.
