Since [1] was implemented, would you consider to update "Packaging of Additional RPM Macros" section of the packaging guidelines appropriately?
Please note that I also asked RPM guys to provide some convenience macro for this path [2], so it might be worth waiting for this macro.
Also, I am not sure of timing of this update, since this is available only in Rawhide ATM.

Since this is an upstream change, I decided it didn't need FPC discussion. I've amended the guidelines to reflect that as a valid macro target directory for Fedora 19+ (it isn't supported in earlier releases of RPM).
