The README.md has several links to wiki documents which have been ported to docs.
Also, it says "Please do not apply for sponsorship here unless you have one or more packages which have completed the package review process." However, those documents direct folks here if they want to become co-maintainers. Plus it's not super-friendly?
These issues were fixed in https://pagure.io/packager-sponsors/c/0b3c12ce8d7d8868ffca41a9db848b87dae6143c , as I also ran into some confusion due to this. Maintainers I think can close this now.
