I‘d like to add sponsoring new packagers to the ways in which I am already contributing to the Fedora project.
Maintain at least three packages
You can see the 61 packages I am involved in here: https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/music/projects
Of these, I am the primary maintainer for 57 packages. I introduced roughly 20 to Fedora as new packages through the review process. Most of the rest are packages I picked up after they were orphaned, and rehabilitated as needed to meet current packaging guidelines.
I also co-maintain librtprocess and python-shapely, and I am responsible for the EPEL versions of abseil-cpp and editorconfig.
These packages cover a wide range of languages (at least C, C++, JavaScript [browser and NodeJS], Python/Cython, Vala, and Perl) and build systems (Python setuptools, Perl ExtUtils::MakeMaker, make, GNU autotools, CMake, meson).
Have done five high quality, nontrivial package reviews
It looks like I‘ve done 18 reviews that made it to the CLOSED state. Some of the other 10 are complete reviews too, and are just waiting on the submitter to follow up.
A few highlights are:
usd, in which I helped the submitter wade through a very large upstream source tree with mixed licenses and bundled libraries, and debugged several build failures
sndfile-tools, in which I patched several bugs upstream in the course of helping the submitter run the tests
tkrzw, which started out with a large number of issues and ended up as a high-quality package
python-sphinx-tabs, in which the review revealed a bug in pyproject-rpm-macros
Have been members of the packager group for at least one release cycle (generally six months) so that they have seen the process of branching for a new release.
I‘ve been a packager for seven months, so I‘ve seen the full Fedora 34 cycle.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.
I am totally +1 on this.
+1
It's been 7 days and I see 9 +1s and 0 -1's, so this request is approved. :)
Use your powers wisely!
