I'm the current maintainer of the verilator package in Fedora . I'd like to request a sponsor for marcusmueller in order for him to become a co-maintainer of the verilator package since he is not only actively using and testing the package but has also shown RPM packaging skills: https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/marcusmueller/rpms/verilator/c/5b9fa9e23e7e1a5b25b94ee693134a25869358fe

marcusmueller
I would actively watch his commits and assist him in following the Fedora Packaging Guidelines.
I'd like to chime in:
I occasionally roll gnuradio packages myself for testing purposes, and I honestly found verilator's dependencies to be comparatively benign.
So, yes, please make me a co-maintainer. I'm in for the insurmountable fame and the everlasting user gratitude that I know being a maintainer invariably brings.
I have sponsored Marcus.
Marcus, please join the required mailing list as explained here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers#Join_the_important_Mailing_Lists
(Read the entire document if you haven't already)
Thank you! joined, and reading.
@marcusmueller, could you try logging out then logging back in to: https://src.fedoraproject.org/group/packager and see if you can find yourself in the list of members of the packager group?
packager
For the last few days, when I try to grant the @marcusmueller user commit access via https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/verilator/adduser, I'm always getting a "This user must be in one of the following groups to be allowed to be added to this project: packager" error.
commit
I think Pagure's group membership cache needs a "log out; log in" action to trigger a refresh.
