#251 walters: sponsor status request
Closed: Fixed None Opened 8 years ago by walters.

I don't see any recent (last 2 years) full package review by walters. Also, the review participated query should not include packages submitted but only where package review is done or comments are provided.

Not easy to comment on.

Latest review I noticed was from 2015-04-06 and consisted of an immediate approval with a very short message only: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/1208904

Oddly, the few things pointed out (PBR_VERSION and macro for %description) have not been replied to by the submitter.

The package naming question raised by another review could have been answered in that ticket, too. The course of the review ticket doesn't look too pretty. First the wish to drop the python- prefix, the ACK from the reviewer, and then the return to the python- prefix because another reviewer asked about the naming. If the naming guidelines aren't clear during review, that's a perfect opportunity to discuss it and/or post to packaging@ list. Afterall, Python based programs, which may include Python modules as well, are not pure module packages and need not add the python*- prefix to the package name.

From the older reviews, such as https://bugzilla.redhat.com/469460 within 2008, it's misassiged since the reviewer has been somebody else. In the review process, tickets are never assigned to the submitter, but only the reviewer.

It's been a week with no votes... so, by the policy that means it will be voted on in the next FESCo meeting.

I clarified the process with fesco, if there's not sufficent votes, the request will be closed.

Feel free to reapply anytime.
