We don't use it, and I don't think we are planning to change to tevent. We should disable this part of the code, as we are focused on libevent.

Looks good. Ack on the source code.
If you could add some brief comment to the patch regarding this configure option "--enable-tevent" and when it could be useful/necessary, that'd be nice. (I'd like to learn why we'd better keep it instead of deleting it from the source tree. :)
